President Richard Nixon declared war on cancer in the USA in 1971. Since then, virtually every dime of the staggering billions spent on cancer research in the USA has gone into finding new and improved versions of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. Inexpensive proven natural therapies, even those used successfully for decades around the world, have been ignored. (See partial list of them at left.) This is tragic.
"So why aren't doctors [MDs] using alternative therapies?"

It may surprise you, but they can't. Those few MDs who do know of them sincerely wish they could. The problem is the FDA. It has a decades-long record of not approving anything alternative - period. In fact it actively fights anything alternative. This fact alone scares away almost all conventional MDs. Why? It puts them at serious legal and professional risk if they don't use radiation, surgery and drugs.

MDs are afraid of expensive, time consuming lawsuits - their malpractice insurance won't cover them if they use alternatives. Their state medical boards may fine them heavily, suspend their license to practice or even revoke it. The FDA may do the same and confiscate patient records and their medical equipment. They may lose their right to treat patients in hospitals.

Any or all of these problems and more can occur if MDs use 'unapproved' alternatives, no matter how well they work. Our sincere, hard working Mds do not want any of these serious problems that can ruin a career. On top of all this, medical schools don't teach alternative treatments anyway - only drugs, surgery and radiation. So MDs know virtually nothing about the amazing array of proven natural therapies.

A HARD PILL TO SWALLOW
The disturbing fact is, today we have a bureaucratic tangle of federal politicians, lawyers and multi-national corporations dominating and controlling our health care system - not health care professionals.
